My Name is Samantha Leal and I have been a fan of the theater world for as long as I can remember. Ever since I saw my first Disney movie, Beauty and the Beast, I wanted to perform those characters and every character after that in any cartoon, movie, show or play. I would leave the movies and pretend I was in those worlds living their lives full of adventure and silly antics. I would come up with my own stories with crazy characters that I would then read to my  younger sister with all the dramatics I could muster, turning her into a fellow actor herself.  Any theater I could get my hands on I jumped in with everything I had.  I started off very early, performing in little productions as a crayon, the sun, Snoopy and a sad little christmas tree that wasn’t chosen for christmas in elementary, to being at the Local Community theaters more than I was at my own house. The theatres I performed in were the Permian Playhouse and the Globe of the Great Southwest (A replica of Shakespear’s Globe in London). I grew up on the stage playing an array of different characters such as a sweet little girl from the country, a fast talking coyote, and a young lover who ran away to marry the boy of her dreams. I found my Husband at the theatre as well, and together we moved from acting in shows to directing them. We worked as a team producing and performing everywhere we could. We have a beautiful baby boy that we will also teach the ways of the actor because, this is the way.  I even got my degree in performance from Baylor University. At This elite university I not only got to perfect my acting abilities, I found new avenues of theater that were equally interesting to me. I became a jack of all theatrical trades. I am certified in stage combat as an unarmed and rapier and dagger student combatant. I can build a set, run lights and mics, build a costume, stage manage, and even got to dabble in film acting thanks to the filming program.  This passion for acting has come full circle to now having the position as Theatre teacher at my alumni Elementary in Odessa, Texas. The only position of its kind in elementary here in this oil and friday night lights centric town.  Through my theatrical path I have been able to experience film acting, live stage acting, Directing, Stage managing, acting in a comic con and now I want to experience the original avenue of acting with my professional home recording studio that made me so excited in the first place. Voice acting. To be able to step into another person's shoes and tell their story to the world is so amazing to me and to be able to do it with my voice would be incredible.
